Part of the Confucius Temple

  1. Do not underestimate the number of undershirts one should pack. The proper word for this is undershirtstimating (thanks, Amitai). The proper number of undershirts is (number_of_days_in_taipei)^2.
  2. Sightsee in shifts. You’ll thank me. People standing near you in the metro will thank you.
  3. Do not believe the “feels like” temperature popular on so many weather sites. Here is what it feels like: Hell. Well, Hell if the air were also supersaturated with water. If you introduce one more molecule of moisture, you’ll be underwater.

Updated: Corrected technical term.

Behold the mighty grandeur that is Alaska! What could do justice to this great state more than a shaky iPhone picture taken by a sleep-deprived Dutchman through a tiny window in a 747?

Incidentally, if you look closely at the second photograph, you can just make out a shirtless Putin.
