Currently the tallest building in the world, Taipei 101 is a breathtaking structure in a city without that many tall buildings. Hildo, Francoise, Darren and I made the trek.
The elevators are also the fastest in the world, moving you upwards at up to 1000 meters per minute.
Visibility is constrained, probably because of the intense humidity. Then we learned:
where you would mail me if you had to,
unicorns exist,
and to beware of miners.
All in all, the trip was
Francoise and Darren arrived back in Taipei from Kenting on Thursday, and along with a larger crew we went to an NT$100 per plate dinner place. The food was great. Note the tiny little glasses for beer. We just did beer shots. Problem solved.
Mmm, fish eyeballs.
Peter instructs us all on the proper use of chopsticks.
Later at the pub I indicate how tall my beer should be.
